More than 300 world-leading consultants provide care across 67 different clinical specialties and support services. GOSH MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Teams) approach allows children with rare and complex diseases to receive the best and personalised possible care. All GOSH’s paediatric clinical specialties and sub-specialties hold regular MDT joint meetings. MDTs are usually between 20 and 30 people from different disciplines.
The MDT approach is an effective and efficient way for staff to gain a holistic view of the child and family. This approach allows for regular communication and collaboration between expert clinicians and support services, allowing children to receive the best possible care from the world leading clinicians, all under one roof.

As the global pioneer in children’s rare disease studies and treatments, GOSH has extensive experience and knowledge in the clinical treatments of rare diseases in children and developed a mature multi-disciplinary diagnosis and treatment model. At GOSH, we treat almost 300,000 children with rare & ultra-rare diseases a year and have more than 900 research projects looking into rare and complex diseases. We continually strive for answers.
